The Voice 2013 battle rounds start tonight, October 14, and it looks like our dear friend Adam Levine is going to face quite the dilemma. You see, the Maroon 5 frontman and one-time Voice winner packed his team with super talented powerhouse vocalists, and while that seems like a good strategy in theory, there's this little thing called "The Steal." And we have a feeling that one of Adam's fellow judges (cough, Blake Shelton, cough) fully intends to use it tonight.
For the first battle of Season 5, Adam pairs up seasoned singer Donna Allen and Reggae artist Tessanne Chin with "Next to Me" by Emeli Sande. Both ladies sound and look flawless, and coach Adam couldn't seem prouder and more enthused with their performance. Unfortunately, that excitement will soon be replaced by anxiety and indecision when he's forced to send one of his artists packing.
But who will he choose? Donna Allen, the former Gloria Estefan backup singer looking for her big break at the age of 54? Or Jamaican-born fusion artist Tessanne Chin, who's performed with the likes Patti LaBelle and Gladys Knight? And even more panic-inducing, will one of his fellow judges snatch up the losing lady?
Tune in tonight, Monday, October 14 at 8 p.m. ET on NBC to find out, and share your theories in the comments below!
