The battle rounds continue on tonight’s episode of The Voice and, if a recently released preview is any indication, we are in for quite a show.
Voice contestants Matt Cermanski and James Irwin face the daunting task of preparing to sing OneRepublic’s “Counting Stars” under the tutelage of the band’s frontman Ryan Tedder. The talented singer and songwriter was recruited to be a season five advisor by judge Adam Levine. As Adam said, “This guy’s gonna be the best coach you could possibly have for this tune because it’s his tune.”
Based on the preview, Adam surprises the other judges with a last minute steal while Christina Aguilera, dressed in that now-infamous black band-aid dress, obviously faces huge inner turmoil when making a decision on which contestant to choose.
NBC gives a snippet of the battle between Matt and James, and the judges certainly have their work cut out for them. Both of these guys can seriously sing, so we’re just itching to know who pulls it out in the end.
We know we’ll be tuning into tonight’s show at 8 p.m on NBC as these contestants duke it out while trying to make it to the knockout round.
