Shelbie Z. Sings “Last Name” by Carrie Underwood and Briana Cuoco Sings “Don’t Speak” by No Doubt
October 28, Team Blake Shelton singers Shelbie Z. and Briana Cuoco were paired to sing against one another on The Voice 2013 knockout rounds. Briana came out swinging first with her rendition of “Don’t Speak” by No Doubt. At rehearsals, Blake urged the singer to get lost in the song, and approved of the song choice but thought there was “too much icing, not enough cake.”
Shelbie Z. came out first with their rendition of “Last Name” by Carrie Underwood. The country crooner had problems during rehearsals with her breath, but when she hit the stage, she exuded tons of confidence. Christina Aguilera thought that both singers did extremely well, and thought this performance was Shelbie’s most confident.
When it was time for Blake to choose a winner, he felt that one performer out sang the other and in this case, it was Shelbie Z.
