The Voice 2013 Season 5 live show are finally upon us and the first night, Tuesday, November 5, saw the talented artists of Team Cee Lo Green and Team Christina Aguilera grace the stage. While all four coaches felt that each of the 10 singers gave stellar performances, we felt there were a couple that led the pack.

Team Cee Lo’s Tamara Chauniece really brought it last night with her rendition of Gloria Gaynor’s “I Will Survive," which totally had us on our feet. The disco classic showcased the former gospel singer’s vocal ability and we were singing right along with her.

Tamara’s teammate Caroline Pennell continued to dazzle us with her sweet, wispy, angelic voice in her cover of ‘We’re Going to Be Friends” by The White Stripes. Caroline’s tiny inflections and added touches provided just enough for the song to sound fresh and tailor-made for her voice.

The members of Team Christina continued to please with a consistent performance from Matthew Schuler, as the college student took on Miley Cyrus’s “Wrecking Ball.” Josh Logan totally won us over with his cool cover of Cee Lo’s hit record “Crazy,” despite coach Adam Levine’s critique of Josh’s runs being a tad bit overwhelming.

However, the singer that totally stole the show had to be the Team Christina’s youngest contestant, Jacquie Lee. The miniature powerhouse blew us away with her rendition of Screamin’ Jay Hawkins’ iconic song, “I Put a Spell On You.” Singing with a voice beyond her years, Jacquie brought the house down and left almost all the coaches (and ourselves included) speechless.

Sadly, not all of our favorites will make it through when the results of America’s votes is revealed live, Thursday, November 7. We can only hope that after that performance, Jacquie totally makes it through!
