A singer-songwriter who has capture the hearts of The Voice viewers everywhere (and coach Blake Shelton), Austin Jenckes seem about as unassuming as they come. But there has to be more about this bearded dude, right? Here are five things about him that you may not know:

He’s a Nashville transplant.  Although he got his start in the music scene of the Pacific Northwest, the Duvall, Washington, native has lived in Nashville, TN, for about two years. After his stellar rendition of “It’s A Great Day To Be Alive” last week, we can see that this is the perfect town for someone with a natural country inclination.

He’s coming to a city near you! According to his bio page, Austin will be setting out on an “extensive tour” in 2014, where he says he wants to “formally introduce himself to new listeners with the intention of greeting every ear with the voice of an old friend.” We’d love to catch one of his shows!

He’s a hopeless romantic. Ladies, this heavily-bearded talented musician is not only off the market, but he loves to gush about live-in girlfriend Brittany Townsend, 25. He refers to his love, who is an office administrator, quite a bit on Twitter, even admitting that he actually enjoys watching the uber romantic chick flick Pride and Prejudice with Lindsay. Austin’s lady love doesn’t sugarcoat her opinions, though. In a blurb about him in Us Weekly (via Twitter), he said of Lindsay and his music, “If it’s not good, she’ll tell me!”

He already has some celebu-fans! After he performed the Bee Gees’ “To Love Somebody,” Kirstie Alley tweeted to Austin that he is an “awesome artist.” When he replied, saying, “I’m a fan of you too!” the controversial actress tweeted, “Thanks, bitch.” Classic! To boot, after his killer take on Travis Tritt’s “It’s A Great Day To Be Alive,” Travis himself tweeted, “@AustinJenckes @NBCTheVoice I'm currently on a hunting trip, so I did not get to see your performance. I've been told you did well!”

He’s Mr. Congeniality. Blake has declared Austin “the one that everyone wants to sit and have a beer with.” When asked about this by Seattle WAVE Radio’s Lori Ness, Austin said, “That was pretty awesome.” He went on to say, “I’m the type of person that I just enjoy talking to people. Throughout the show I think people have hopefully just seen me be me…It’s really easy to get caught up in the lights, the cameras, and all that stuff. And going into this, it was a huge goal of mine to be myself.”

Is Austin one of your faves? Why or why not? Sound off in the comments!
