Not that this should come as any surprise to anyone who followed Tessanne Chin this season on The Voice, but the Season 5 winner is already lending her (relatively!) newfound fame to phenomenal causes. The majorly talented Jamaican reggae fusion artist –– who is mostly definitely beautiful inside and out — will be headlining a benefit concert for Haiti’s homeless.

According to the Jamaica Observer, the event, which will be held at the Polo Club in Boca Raton, Florida, on February 1, is for charity organization Food for the Poor. Tessanne hopes her fans will support her in this endeavor, as the money will help “replace rickety huts with safe, permanent homes for families in the community of Ganthier.”

We imagine Tessanne is feeling more than just a wee bit exhausted these days, as she has been working hard since her win. She recently performed with her fellow Jamaican Shaggy at a Shaggy & Friends concert, and also rode The Voice float for the Rose Bowl Parade.

Let’s hope the benefit concert goes better than the ride on the float, however; technical difficulties and Al Roker and Hoda Kotbe’s lack of Voice knowledge made for an uncomfortable viewing experience. Still, though — the few notes of her debut single, “Tumbling Down,” that she did get to belt out were beautiful.

Will you support Tessanne in her cause to help the struggling Haitians? Let us know!
