Shakira’s highly anticipated duet with Rihanna recently dropped and was more than well received by fans. In fact, “Can’t Remember To Forget You,” which premiered on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show, reached number one in the United States only hours after its release. It also topped the iTunes charts on its first day.

While Shakira loved working with Rihanna, saying of the artist during an interview with VEVO that she has “such authenticity,” her album includes many more such collaborations. In fact, the credits read like a list of “who’s who,” as Shakira enlisted the help of Sia, Ester Dean, and Ne-Yo in the songwriting realm. She also worked with big-name producers, like Dutch DJ Afrojack, RedOne, Redfoo (the lead singer of LMFAO), dubstep producer Skrillex, Dutch producer and deejay Tiësto, and American record producer and singer Akon. Whew!

As for the long wait for this album to be released, Shakira said, “It’s been hard to make an album with so many distractions,” referring to her breaks to care for her one-year-old son, Milan, and working on The Voice. However, she couldn’t be more pleased with the result.

“I have an album that is exactly the album I wanted to have,” the gorgeous singer said with a smile.

The record, which is as yet unnamed, has a release date of March 25.
