On February 24, 45-year-old worship leader Biff Gore took The Voice stage to belt out “A Change Is Gonna Come” by Sam Cooke. The Colorado native instantly received a chair turn from coaches Adam Levine and Blake Shelton followed by Shakira. After a little hesitation, coach Usher got on board and turned his chair for the soul singer.

Usher complimented the singer for his individuality, while Adam praised him for his classic sound. Shakira made a desperate plea for Biff to join her team, while Blake asked Biff to join his team to provide some spiritual guidance. After much consideration, Biff chose Usher as his coach.
