On February 24, singer Jake Worthington took The Voice stage to belt out “Don’t Close Your Eyes” by Keith Whitley. Returning to the stage after his defeat in Season 5, Jake came back with more determination and received a chair turn from Adam Levine. Seconds later, Blake Shelton pushed his button for two-time contestant. Much later, coach Shakira turned her chair for the singer, to the chagrin of Blake.

Each coach made their pitch for the singer, with Blake appealing to Jake’s country roots — and ultimately, that’s what won Jake over.
