Fresh off his win in Season 5, Adam Levine took no prisoners during the Blind Auditions. Will one of these 12 contestants give him a lock on Season 6?
Christina Grimmie, 19 — Marlton, New Jersey
With 2 million fans on YouTube already, Christina Grimmie is sure to be a fan favorite. She was the first artist of the season to make all four coaches hit their buttons1, making it almost inevitable she’d end up on Team Adam. After all, he has a near-perfect record when it comes to the 4-chair-turn.
Dawn & Hawkes — Austin, Texas
Adam definitely scored with this adorable indie-folk duo. Dawn and Hawkes chose Adam over Shakira, probably because he said their Beatles cover was his favorite performance ever on the show.
Delvin Choice, 26 — Greenville, South Carolina
After not making a team in Season 5, Delvin Choice chose a song that better showcased his talents, as originally advised by Adam. The work he did over the last few months was so effective, the Maroon 5 singer didn’t even recognize him! Ultimately, Adam’s tough love from last season was what helped Delvin decide he was the right coach for him.
Cary Laine, 28 — Citronelle, Alabama
This gritty country singer turned all four chairs with her cover of The Band Perry’s “Better Dig Two” during the Blind Auditions. Though Blake usually has true-country artists like her in the bag, Adam’s promise that Cary Laine would get more attention as the only country artist on his team seemed to win her over.
Sam Behymer, 25 — Morgan Mill, Texas
Singing the song of the moment with unusual inflection, Sam Behymer may not be everybody's cup of tea, but Adam and Usher definitely saw something worth fighting over.
Joshua Howard, 25 — Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Shakira was no match for Adam in nabbing Josh Howard for his team!
Patrick Thomson, 35 — Festus, Missouri
Not to typecast, but we thought for sure Patrick Thomson was going to choose Team Blake. Guess that'll teach us to judge a book by its cover!
Kat Perkins, 33 — Scranton, North Dakota
Kat Perkins has already had a shot at stardom, but when divorce broke up her band, her music career took a back burner. Well, we're glad she's back, because this chick has some PIPES.
Josh Murley, 29 — Kerrville, Texas
Austin Ellis, 26 — North Beach, Maryland
Again, Adam was the only one who turned for Austin Ellis. We're starting to think the other coaches are just intimidated by his powers of persuasion!
Josh Kaufman, 38 — Indianapolis, Indiana
Josh Kaufman almost gave up singing, but we're glad that four-chair turn convinced him to give it another try. And he'll be doing it alongside the king of the four-chair turn, Adam Levine.
Caleb Elder, 19 — Appomattox, Virginia
Oh, Caleb Elder. You had us at "Aww, sookie sookie now." It seems you also had Adam with that bit of personality, making him finally turn his chair one last time and complete his team of 12.
