On February 25, country singer Cary Laine took The Voice stage to belt out the hit country tune “Better Dig Two” by The Band Perry. The 28-year-old mama from Alabama took the stage with the gritty song, and received an almost instant chair turn from Adam Levine. Moments later, both coaches Blake Shelton and Shakira pushed their buttons for the singer, followed by Usher.

Once Cary was done with her set, the coaches became desperate to have her own their team, with Adam offering the singer his big red chair! Seconds later, Cary found herself in Shakira’s seat and later in Usher’s red leather seat right next to Blake! Adam fought for Cary, prompting her to “dare to be different” and stay away from the box that Blake would ultimately keep her in. Though both Shakira and Usher attempted to win the singer over, it was clear that the fight was between Blake and Adam. When it was time to make a choice, Cary chose to pick Adam who she believed really “fought” to have her on his team.
