We didn’t think we could love a version of “Titanium” more than Anna Kendrick’s version in the shower in the aca-awesome film Pitch Perfect, but we found one last night in The Voice contender Madilyn Paige.

As big as a minute and in possession of a mesmerizing voice, she seemed to have Usher in the palm of her itty bitty hand from moment one with her tender rendition of the well known song. Perhaps it’s because Usher has collaborated with “Titanium” artist David Guetta, but it seemed as though it was more than that.

Usher wasn’t the only one who turned around for the pretty blonde singer, though. About halfway through, Shakira swiveled her chair around for the talented, young artist. From that point on, it was a battle royale between the two sometime judges as Blake Shelton and Adam Levine enjoyed giggling in the background.

“Your voice is so beautiful and yet so powerful at the same time,” Shakira told her, sticking by what she said in the preseason about wanting to go after talented young female artists this year. She ensured her she would help “bring the best out” in Madilyn.

Usher pulled out the big guns by reminding her that he has mentored a teenager before (although does he really want to brag about the Biebs right now?).

“What you want is someone who is going to nurture your talent,” Usher advised her.

In the end, Madilyn went with Team Usher, but what else do we know about this 16-year-old from Provo, Utah?

There certainly isn’t a lot online about this young woman but, then again, these are the types of contenders the coaches love, since they have no preconceived notions about the industry. We do know from her NBC bio that she lived in Japan as a young child, took up singing upon her return to the US, and loves to make music videos and short films with her friends.

She has performed in several local competitions but admits in her bio that The Voice will most definitely be the largest audience she has ever performed for in her life. She’s already proved she deserves to be there, as her slowed-down version of “Titanium” shot to #54 on iTunes overnight.

The young singer took to Twitter to post a pic of her spot on iTunes, along with a caption that read, “I can’t believe this!!!”

Ironically enough, the photo shows she took the spot just above Justin Bieber’s “Confident”. We’re guessing that won’t be the last time she sees her name on the charts.

Is Madilyn one of your faves on season six of The Voice? Why or why not? Sound off in the comments!
