On March 3, folk singer Patrick Thomson took The Voice stage to belt out “Can’t You See” by Marshall Tucker Band. Coming from a musical family, Patrick hopes to continue doing what he loves and what he believes he’s meant to do. After a few moments, Patrick got a chair turn from Coach Blake Shelton, which was followed by Adam Levine.

Adam admitted that he liked Patrick from the beginning, but hoped to fake out his competitors.  Adam told Patrick that he wanted him for his pure gritty sound, while Blake tried to sway Patrick by saying that Adam would treat him as a pet project. Usher chimed in favor of Usher, and it appeared to have worked in Adam’s favor because Patrick chose him.
