On March 11, 20-year-old soul singer Kaleigh Glanton took The Voice stage to belt out “Have You Ever Seen the Rain” by Creedence Clearwater Revival. At a young age, Kaleigh discovered music from her father, who taught her how to play the guitar. By 16, Kaleigh and her father formed a duo and though the Kansas native would love to form a crossfit gym, she sees music as her main passion.

Adam Levine pushed his button for the singer first, followed closely behind by Shakira. After a bit of listening, Blake Shelton pushed his button and at the last moment, Usher turned his chair for the Wichita soul singer.  Adam noted that Kaleigh’s performance was was different and the moments that were great,  were consistently great. Shakira fought for the singer by saying that she adored the sound of Kaleigh’s voice, which she described as “quirky” and urged Kaleigh to join her team so that they’re quirky sounds could combine.

Usher tried to grab Kaleigh’s attention by noting that she had a unique sound and a gentle tone that he could definitely use on his team, while Blake turned on the charm telling Kaleigh that he “loved” her style and was the guy to put the “spotlight” on her.

When it was time to make a choice, Kaleigh chose to join Team Blake, and completed the country crooner’s team of twelve.
