On March 25, Team Blake Shelton singers Kaleigh Glanton and Noah Lis crooned a duet of “Everything” by Michael Bublé. Though the song was more in Noah’s wheelhouse, Kaleigh’s embellishments command attention.

Noah strove to meet her with his own ad-libs, but Blake and his mentors, The Band Perry advised him that less is more. The two singers also struggled to nail the harmonies in the short time allotted for them.

When they took to the stage, the shared moments felt a little forced, but each artist gave a strong vocal performance, which of course made Blake’s decision a difficult one. Usher felt Noah lacked some of Michael’s finesse and sexiness in the beginning, and thought Kaleigh stripped away some of the qualities that make her voice unique. For that reason, his hat tipped to Noah. Adam, however, said he’d probably go for Kaleigh.

Blake likes the choices Kaleigh makes with the notes she chooses, saying she has that certain something you just can’t teach. And for that reason, Blake chose her to move on. Sadly for Noah, Usher hung on to the last remaining steal, waiting for something a little more special.
