The Live Rounds kicked off last night on The Voice, with the top 12 artists from Season 6 singing for America’s votes. Considering the caliber of their performances, you’d think they were singing for their lives, making it that much harder for us to say goodbye to two of them tonight during the Tuesday double elimination.

At the top of the hour, Carson Daly announced that Josh Kaufman from Team Usher and Kat Perkins from Team Adam were safe from elimination. We have to admit, we uttered a huge sigh of relief at those announcements. Yes, they had some of the finest performances of the night, but they’re definitely not as buzzworthy as young talents like 17-year-old Bria Kelly or 19-year-old YouTube star Christina Grimmie.

The next artist announced was Team Shakira’s Kristen Merlin, who overcame a huge technical snafu last night, earning a standing ovation from the audience and coaches. She wasn’t the only country singer who got to leave the hot seat, though. Team Blake’s Audra McLaughlin was also deemed safe from elimination.

Also returning next week: Team Adam’s Delvin Choice and Christina Grimmie, Team Blake’s Jake Worthington, and a very boisterous Bria from Team Usher. The last artist saved from the bottom three was an emotional Sisaundra Lewis, who looked near tears before finding out she got enough votes to advance without the Twitter Instant Save. Both Adam and Blake were spared the bummer of saying goodbye to one of their artists.

That left Dani Moz and Tess Boyer of Team Shakira in the bottom three along with Team Usher’s TJ Wilkins. After each artist sang for their lives, users on Twitter voted to save Tess.

Are you okay with tonight's outcome, or did your favorite artist(s) get eliminated?
