On April 28, Team Adam Levine singer Delvin Choice gave a rousing performance of “Bright Lights” by Gary Clark Jr.

Adam brought by his own mentor, Graham Nash of Crosby, Stills & Nash, to help Delvin pick a song that was great for him, but still allowed Delvin to push the envelope. Delvin chose the song because of its combination of blues and funk.

Hitting the stage with a stream of bright lights behind him, Delvin owned the song and even brought some of Graham’s tips to the end of his performance, making sure the audience knew his name by the end of the night (with coaches Adam and Usher on their feet, too).

Blake Shelton thought that Delvin continued to take it to the next level, with passion and “greatness.” Usher said he felt that it was a step outside of what Delvin did, but the soulful essence that he has definitely pushed through. Adam knew that changing the song to engage the audience would be a risk, but he felt it obviously paid off as Delvin’s electric energy transcended through the room by the end of his performance.
