On April 28, Team Adam Levine rocker Kat Perkins gave a rousing performance of Fleetwood Mac.

Kat seemed reluctant to sing the song, but Adam encouraged her to let the viewers see a more tender side of her. With the help of Graham Nash (of Crosby, Stills & Nash), Adam coached Kat to embrace her vulnerability with this performance and sing it like she really believes it — even if it means she ends up crying during the performance.

As her coach listened with eyes closed, Kat delivered an emotional rendition of the 1975 hit song. Blake Shelton asked if she was crying, and she admits the song did bring her to tears. The country singer appreciated seeing her softer side, but wished she wasn’t crying — because he was about to cry, too!

Usher felt she executed with precision and gave a moving performance, and Shakira celebrated its sweetness. Adam was happy that someone like Kat was able to deliver this song that means so much to him (and to his mentee) to a new generation.
