On May 5, Team Adam Levine singer Kat Perkins gave an electric performance of “Get Lucky” by Daft Punk feat. Pharrell Williams.

For rehearsals, Adam brought in Maroon 5 bandmate James Valentine to give Kat a few pointers to have the “breakout moment” she’s been looking for. Kat chose to go with the smash hit “Get Lucky,” but also decided to give it a little metal twist so that she could perform a modern song with that classic rock sound that she adores.

With fire blazing behind her, Kat stomped across the stage with the metal-infused cover of the electronic tune.

Coach Usher could hardly get a word in edgewise, saying that the audience’s roar embodied everything that everyone was feeling at the moment. The “Let It Burn” singer went on to call Kat’s performance “incredible,” with his only regret being that he wished he had hair to headbang to her performance.  Shakira thought Kat’s cool because she knows exactly who she is and stayed completely true to her nature. Adam, who was visibly enthralled by Kat’s heavy metal rendition, said Kat did absolutely everything, with just him facilitating it. Adam said it was one of the most incredible, unique performances that he’s ever seen.
