On May 12, Team Blake singer Jake Worthington gave a rousing performance of “Heaven” by Bryan Adams.

To show Jakes’ versatility, Blake’s pick for him to sing this week is an ‘80s power ballad that the La Porte, Texas artist can give a little country spin to. During rehearsals, however, Jake struggled with pitch, especially with the higher notes. Neverthless, Blake felt confident in Jake's by the end that they had it nailed. His final advice to the youngest singer left in the competition was to sing to his girlfriend back home.

Dressed in a snazzy blazer and a dressy black cowboy hat, it’s definitely the most suave Jake’s looked, and his acoustic take on the Bryan Adams hit works really well with his slightly gravelly country twang.

Shakira said that not only was it different but refreshing. Adam Levine too liked to see Blake break out of the country box. Usher appreciated the song and also that we got to see the struggle he overcame to achieve such a great performance. Blake said that he’d be happy to share any stage with Jake, be it a bar or an arena.
