On May 19, Team Adam Levine singer Christina Grimmie gave a rousing pop ballad rendition of “Can’t Help Falling in Love” by Elvis Presley. Christina chose the hit Elvis tune, stating that she’s plotted since the Blind Auditions to sing her “dream song” at the end, if she made it (which she obviously did).

Taking the stage, Christina gave her own pop doo-wop arrangement of the love song, with dynamics, stellar runs, and huge notes that even make us wonder what her lungs look like. Blake Shelton told Christina he’s always admired her willingness to take on a challenge, and loved her new arrangement. Usher told Christina since the moment she came on the show, he thought she was an amazing vocalist, and told her he thought her rendition was great and her arrangement was beautiful. Shakira thought that Christina’s performance was “flawless” and that she ultimately put her Christina “stamp” on the Elvis classic. Last but not least, Adam told his last woman standing that he felt that she did an amazing job, and gave all the elements that makes a Voice winner: artistry and technicality. Looking at Christina, Adam told her that she totally had the competition in the bag and that he would do everything in his power to make it hers.
