On May 19, Team Usher singer Josh Kaufman gave a rousing performance of “Signed, Sealed, Delivered I’m Yours” by Stevie Wonder. Though Josh’s performance of the Stevie Wonder tune had him eliminated from Team Adam Levine during the Battle Rounds 2, Usher heard something in the soul singer and snatched him for his team. Hitting the stage with the hit record once again, Josh came in with tons of soul, funk, and finesse.

Shakira told Josh that he had a voice with charisma, dynamics, and facets that no one could get tired of. Adam had a pretty bittersweet moment after watching Josh’s performance — since he let the Indianapolis dad go after his rendition of the Stevie Wonder tune — but once again, told Josh that he’s a stellar talent who was able to bring more energy to the sang that he did the first time around, and even infused a bit of his challenger at the time, Delvin Choice’s ad-libs into his performance.

Blake Shelton told Josh that not only did he sing the crap out of that, but he ad-libbed the crap out it. Usher once again thanked Adam for handing over Josh to him, “signed, sealed, delivered,” and called his contestant the new voice of The Voice.
