As The Voice prepares to whittle the remaining eight contestants down to four, we have a pretty clear idea of who could win this entire competition.

We think Team Adam’s Tony Lucca has all the makings of a winner. Here’s why:

1. The Crowd Loves Him

Even when Christina Aguilera insulted the performer calling him “one-dimensional,” the crowd (and America) still seemed to adore him. The former Mouseketeer just has to flash a smile after belting a Britney Spears tune and he elicits the reaction of screaming girls à la Justin Bieber.

He doesn’t necessarily seem to be a judge favorite, but with the backing of America, who needs them?

2. He Didn’t Take the Easy Route

After The Mickey Mouse Club, Tony was given the opportunity to take a pop music path similar to his co-stars. Staying true to his roots, the singer opted for a more independent approach and was not just a singer, but also a songwriter. Forget Top 40, Tony’s the real deal.

3. His Famous Friends

Call it what you will, but Tony’s celebrity fan base will definitely help him to win The Voice. It never hurts to have supporters like Justin Timberlake and JC Chasez, and Tony would be a fool to turn them down. Christina may have had a problem with it, but Tony’s been in this industry for a while and there’s nothing wrong with making a few friends … like the singers of “Bye Bye Bye.”
