The Voice closed out its third season with an incredibly close race, but there could only be one winner. Team Blake’s Cassadee Pope stood out of the crowd from day one, and tonight, Dec. 18, she took home the ultimate prize, becoming the voice, picking up a recording contract, and taking home $100,000!

This former lead singer (of the now-defunct band Hey Monday) has incredible stage presence and crazy range, and we can't wait to hear her debut solo CD. Let’s break down the Top 5 reasons why she won The Voice:

5. She’s sexy, she’s cute, she’s popular to boot!

In addition to an amazing voice, Cassadee is a looker. The 23-year-old singer always has a smile on her face when she performs, showcasing her great style both vocally and physically in adorable, brightly-colored dresses.

4. She isn’t afraid to step outside of her comfort zone.

Although she is known for putting her own twist on classic pop songs, Cassadee wowed us with an array of different genres this season — especially country. We're sure she can tackle anything thrown at her, and her debut album is sure to be eclectic and fun.

3. Everyone loves her!

During the blind auditions, all four judges turned their chairs for her. She ultimately went with a surprising choice, joining Team Blake, and it definitely paid off. She soared through the competition week after week, and considering her incredible iTunes success — she broke Voice records and hit No. 1 multiple times — it was no surprise that she won this season.

2. She has incredible range and puts her own spin on things.

Cassadee never sings a song the way it was originally arranged. She sneaks surprising high notes in, goes for lower, surprising tones, and even changes up the melody sometimes. From what we’ve seen thus far, she can tackle anything that’s thrown at her, even curveballs like Maroon 5’s “Payphone”! However, we were most impressed with her rendition of Miranda Lambert's "Over You," which still makes us cry every time we hear it.

1. She’s the total package.

In addition to singing her heart out (and looking good while doing it), she commands the stage like no one else. Since she’s a live performance veteran from her touring days with Hey Monday, she knows how to get a crowd going, and we can't wait to see her on stage in our city soon! Plus, she can play guitar (and likely many other instruments) and also writes her own music, which is more than many modern pop stars can say!
