5 Songs We Don’t Want to Hear on The Voice Season 3 Blind Auditions
It’s blind audition season, y’all, and we’re gearing up for tonight’s premiere of The Voice Season 3! We’re looking forward to the coaches’ banter, Christina’s outfits, and hearing some great singing.
But there are certain songs we’d like to see retired from reality music competitions for good. Here are the Top 5 songs we don’t want to hear this season on The Voice.
1. “Somebody That I Used to Know” by Gotye
Sure, the song is great — and who hasn’t wanted to paint different parts of their bodies for a music video before? — but if we hear this song one more time on network television, it might be on some show that we used to watch.
2. “Teenage Dream” by Katy Perry
There’s nothing dreamy about hearing this Top 40 hit sung badly over and over again.
3. “Call Me Maybe” by Carly Rae Jepsen
Yes, it’s become an Internet sensation, but we prefer to watch people lip-synching to this catchy hit — unless you’re Kelly Clarkson.
4. “If I Die Young” by The Band Perry
We don’t want to get dark, but hearing this song over and over makes us want to die young.
5. “Halo” by Beyonce
No one can sing this song except Queen B, so stop trying!
