Though the live shows have only just begun on The Voice Season 3, four of the world’s top musicians are already filming the blind auditions for Season 4.

But for the first time in three seasons, there will be some new faces on this year’s panel of coaches. Country crooner Blake Shelton and tattooed rocker Adam Levine will be returning for Season 4, set to air next fall, but replacing Cee Lo Green and Christina Aguilera will be R&B singer Usher and Latin pop star Shakira.

Personally, we can’t imagine The Voice without Cee Lo or Xtina, but that’s the reality Adam and Blake have faced for several weeks now. Both of the returning judges recently commented on the change in atmosphere from the new judges.

Wetpaint Entertainment caught up with Adam Levine at a press conference in New York City a few weeks ago where he talked about next season’s changes.

“It’s nice to see that caliber of artists was kept the same, that even though they’re very different, it will be wonderful to work with them,” he said. “You can never account for what the chemistry is going to be, and the chemistry is there which is nice. It’s a different chemistry. That was a transition, but it went very smoothly and we’re getting along great.”

And recently, Blake Shelton caught up with Access Hollywood where he also talked about the new coaches.

“The chemistry is definitely different with Shakira and Usher replacing Christina and Cee Lo,” Blake said. “But the show is still really good. It’s still entertaining — it’s just different personalities.”

One thing both Blake and Adam agreed on was Shakira’s intensity in Season 4.

“Trust me, as far as Shakira’s concerned, she’s not afraid to knock me out,” Adam said at the press conference.

But Season 2 winner, Blake Shelton, isn’t afraid.

“I tell ya, Shakira is not joking around about this,” he told Access Hollywood. “She is serious and she wants to win this thing. I don’t know if I’ve seen anybody as committed — out of the six of us that have done this now — as she is to winning this thing. And that makes me laugh because I know I’m gonna beat her.”
