Throughout the season on The Voice, the four celebrity coaches can get very close to their contestants. Sadly, last night, Adam Levine lost his two remaining contenders Amanda Brown and Melanie Martinez.

And though Adam told Wetpaint Entertainment that these ladies are already winners, it’s clear he still harbors some resentment toward America for not pushing them through.

In a red carpet interview with Access Hollywood, Melanie Martinez was interrupted by a dancing Adam Levine, who grabbed her by the hand, spun her around, called her an “angel,” and informed her that he “loved her very much.” Sigh, if only our lives were so glamorous!

After the two embraced, Adam continued to joke, saying, “F this stupid show.” Slightly embarrassed, Melanie covered her face and burst into giggles, but it was definitely an endearing moment.

Melanie has described her relationship with Adam as that of a big brother, which became all too apparent when he jokingly threatened to beat up her ex-boyfriend after her painful breakup a few weeks ago.

Were you as sad as Adam to see Melanie go, or was it her time? Weigh in below!
