Adam Levine Is "Uncomfortable" Being Named “New King of Pop”

Adam Levine’s sexy, tattoo-covered body graces the cover of this month's Details magazine, but his hot bod isn't what everyone's talking about. Instead, it's the impressive title Details bestowed on The Voice  judge — “The New King of Pop.”

Now before Michael Jackson rolls over in his grave and protesters come to take down Details, they should know that Adam is a little embarrassed about his new moniker.

After receiving some flack about the headline, Adam tweeted, “I too am uncomfortable with Details naming me the king of pop. I prefer ‘EMPEROR.’ #relaxmoronitsonlyamagazine.”

The flirtatious funny man seems to be enjoying his time at the top of the musical pyramid. Maroon 5’s new single “Payphone” topped the iTunes charts, and Adam’s set to coach the third season of The Voice, starting this fall.

He’s also prepping for his role in the second season of FX’s American Horror Story, which has signed on many new faces. And Adam was recently linked to model Behati Prinsloo, who is the face of Seafolly and has worked for Victoria Secret just like his ex-girlfriend, Anne V.
