With so many projects in the works, it’s hard to know what to ask Adam Levine these days. You could ask him about his band Maroon 5 and their recently announced North American tour, his coaching on The Voice, or his spooky role on American Horror Story.

On The Today Show this morning, anchor Savannah Guthrie didn’t choose one — she asked him about all the above! But when talk turned to his role as Leo on FX’s fright-filled show, Adam admitted that he hadn’t even seen the complete episode.

“I tried,” he said. “I got like 20 minutes in and then the aliens, all of the blood. It wasn’t my stuff that scared me, it was everything else that scared me because I wasn’t there when it was shot so I didn’t know that it wasn’t necessarily real.”

It’s no secret that Adam’s a bit of a fraidy cat. When he originally prepared for the role, he admitted he’d never seen the show because of the creepy nature of its content.

He even called his scenes on the show, “Super gross and disturbing.” But in a recent interview with People Magazine, Adam revealed he wasn’t afraid of the sex scenes with his co-star Jenna Dewan-Tatum.

“Strangely enough, I’m not uncomfortable doing things like that,” he told the publication. “Jenna’s a professional and she’s amazing, and we had a lot of fun. We were laughing and joking the whole time.”

We have no problem believing Adam is particularly comfortable filming those scenes, but were you surprised to hear he couldn’t watch his own episode? Weigh in below!
