Adam Levine is kicking 2013 off with a bang. After a successful year of juggling his music, blossoming acting career, and coaching on The Voice, he’s showing off another side of his talented self by hosting Saturday Night Live!

According to an NBC press release, the sexy singer-turned-actor will take Studio 8H by storm on Jan. 26. Although he has appeared as a music guest with his band, Maroon 5, four times — and even made a cameo during their last appearance in Jeremy Renner’s episode — this will be his SNL hosting debut.

Unfortunately, he won’t be doing double duty as musical guest, too. Hip hop artist Kendrick Lamar, whose album, good kid, m.A.A.d city, debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200. Considering Adam’s recent collaboration with 50 Cent and his friendship with new Voice coach Usher, we wouldn’t be surprised if he joined Kendrick on stage at some point.

And as for hosting and singing in the future? He’s definitely up for it. During a press conference in New York City that Wetpaint Entertainment attended in October 2012, Adam admitted he’d be “very comfortable” being both a host and musical guest on the show. There’s always next time, NBC!
