It seems country music’s power couple can’t win ‘em all. Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert took home plenty of trophies at the 2013 ACM Awards on April 7, but both failed to snag the top prize, Entertainer of the Year.

The honor went to singer Luke Bryan who was co-hosting the show with Blake. The father of two became overly emotional after his name was announced, struggling to form words to thank his fans and family.

And Blake and Miranda couldn’t have been happier for their friend and fellow country artist. When Luke’s name was called, Miranda jumped in the air cheering and Blake gave him a giant hug, later receiving a kiss on the cheek from the winner.

Though they failed to take home the top prize, Blake and Miranda certainly didn’t go home empty-handed. Together they won Song of the Year for the co-written hit “Over You.” Miranda also took home Single Record of the Year for “Over You,” and won Female Vocalist of the Year.

Unfortunately, Jason Aldean beat Blake for Male Vocalist of the Year. But the night was still a great celebration of Blake’s talent, with the singer performing multiple times with top artists including Stevie Wonder, Sheryl Crow, Luke Bryan, and The Pistol Annies.
