When he’s not busy being a mentor for other artists on the hit show The Voice, Blake Shelton is busy working on his own music. Today (Feb 11) he visited the Today show to announce the title and release date of his new album (via The Boot).

The highly-anticipated Based On a True Story ... will hit shelves March 26, just one day after the Season 4 premiere of The Voice!

He also debuted the music video for the album’s first single “Sure Be Cool If You Did” on the morning talk show, joking that “any show that purposely says they have 130 days of drinking in a row, that’s the show I want to debut my video on because they’ll be drunk enough that they’ll actually think it’s a good video!”
