It’s a big day for The Voice’s Blake Shelton. First he was nominated for three Academy of Country Music Awards, and now he’s also just become a first-time Platinum Album Award winner.

This honor is given to artists who sell more than one million records in the United States. Blake picked up the accolade for his 2011 album, Red River Blue.

Maybe his upcoming album, Based on a True Story..., will earn him another one of these honors.

The Grammy-winning band Fun. also picked up their first Platinum Album Award for Some Nights.
