It’s been about six months since British boyband The Wanted attempted to incite a faux-feud with pop legend Christina Aguilera by calling her a “total bitch” on a radio show.

But after no retaliation from the “Your Body” singer and little media reaction, the underperforming guy group made a second attempt at the headlines by retracting their statements.

"I think there was total backlash," band member Tom Parker admitted to the Huffington Post. "I watched an interview with her on Chelsea Lately the other night and she came across really, really nice so I was a bit like, 'Oh s—. Maybe she was she just having a bad day.'"

No offense, boys, but we didn’t have to watch a talk show to know that our girl Xtina is loads of fun and a total class act.

Tom even claimed he was under the weather when he was first quoted.

"Yeah, I was having a terrible day," Tom admitted. "I was on my period ... oh shoot, sorry I apologize!"

We’re glad these wannabe pop stars are finally respecting those who came before them. What do you think of The Wanted’s apology? Sincere or publicity stunt? Weigh in below!
