Coaches on The Voice help their contestants out in many ways. They train them, assist with song selection, and even help them get to the bathroom? Yes, you read that right.

Last night, Season 3 winner Cassadee Pope appeared on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno to perform her hit cover of Miranda Lambert’s “Over You,” and she also shared some behind-the-scenes secrets from the Season 3 finale.

Apparently right after her win, Cassadee was subjected to a barrage of reporters and photographers who wanted to interview and congratulate her (Wetpaint Entertainment included). But the punk rocker had a more pressing matter on her mind — using the bathroom.

“Unfortunately, all the nerves and all the water just came in to play, and I had to pee real bad,” Cassadee admitted.

And who should save her but her coach, Blake Shelton!

“Blake came up there and the photographer wouldn’t stop taking pictures, and he was like, ‘I’m going to give you to the count of 10, and when I finish, you’re going to have to let her go pee,’” she said.

“Blake can always sense when a woman has to pee,” Jay joked.

“Yeah, that’s why he’s so special,” Cassadee replied with a laugh.

“An eighth sense,” Jay retorted.

We’ll keep that in mind for the next time we’re bombarded with press. Sigh, if only our lives were so glamourous!
