Cee Lo Green Reveals This Season’s Front Runner and Confirms He’s Returning to The Voice (VIDEO)
Few people in this world could convince Today Show anchor Matt Lauer to sit in a giant, spinning red chair and conduct an interview, but The Voice coach Cee Lo Green acts like it’s an everyday event.
The Lady Killer appeared on the talk show this morning to discuss The Voice Season 3 and his future plans, and of course, Matt was quick to ask him which contestants stand out this season.
“Last week there was a battle round that was really impressive between two of my teammates,” Cee Lo responded. “It was between Amanda [Brown] and Trevin [Hunte]. It was unfortunate because I didn’t realize Amanda was so talented, but I knew that Trevin was obviously a front runner. So I wish that I could have kept the both of them.”
The two went on to discuss a variety of topics, ranging from the coach’s upcoming Christmas album to his painful childhood. But at the end of the interview, Matt got to the question on everyone’s minds: Will Cee Lo be returning to the show after his leave of absence in the spring?
“I’m taking a hiatus for Season 4, and I’m going to come back for Season 5,” Cee Lo responded. “I know that’s a bit misconstrued on occasion, so I want to make that clear.”
We’re excited to know that Papa Cee Lo will be back, but in the spring we’re definitely set to enjoy the deliciousness that is Usher’s abs!
