Last night on The Voice, Christina Aguilera made finalist Chris Mann’s dreams come true when she joined him on stage to perform Andrea Bocelli and Celine Dion’s “Prayer” during the duet portion of the show.
The two gave a gorgeous rendition of the classic song, which has already earned a Top 10 spot on iTunes. But was it better than the original?
Andrea Bocelli and Celine Dion’s version, which received a Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song from the movie Quest for Camelot, became iconic after its release in 1999. It reeked of “Opera Swag,” to quote Chris Mann.
