When Christina Aguilera brought her big red chairs and her neon pink-tipped hair to the Today Show this morning, she also showed off how little she knows about her fellow coaches!

While playing some Voice trivia with Matt Lauer, she bragged, “I know these guys like the back of my hand,” and then proceeded to only match two out of five quotes to the correct judges — including one of her own!

But after the fun and games, the pop diva explained why she isn’t returning to the hit competition show in the spring.

After Matt asked if she’s taking off for good, Xtina quickly responded, “Oh no, no, no,” before launching into the reasoning behind her decision. Since she was busy writing and recording her new album, Lotus, she wasn’t able to tour during the off-season like her fellow judges.

“Finally the time is here!” she exclaimed about her album’s release. “I need a break to gain new experiences so I can come back and be an even better coach.”

But as for the current season? She’s ready to head into the live playoffs, and she’s especially thrilled that the audience gets to vote this season.

“I actually am thrilled about it, because being on the hot seat to pick who goes home and who stays is so hard,” she admitted. “It’s heartbreaking to see their faces and to get attached to these people as their coach.”

As for her frontrunners? She doesn’t have any!

“You think you do, and depending on the songs they choose week to week, you’re kind of blown away,” she said, later adding, “It could be anybody’s game at this point.”

And although her team is pop-driven this year, she doesn’t mind. She claims that genre just happened to appeal to her during the blind auditions.

“They’re young, they’re pop, and they’re beautiful people,” she said with a laugh. “I’ve got like the modeling agency on my team!”
