Christina Aguilera, P!nk, Lil’ Kim, and Mya Sing “Lady Marmalade” at the 2002 Grammy Awards — Throwback Thursday (VIDEO)
Last night, X Factor contestant Cece Frey attempted to tackle the 2001 hit song “Lady Marmalade,” and word on the street is that Christina Aguilera fans weren’t too impressed.
The song was originally written and performed by the girl group Labelle in 1975, reaching the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. And in 2001, the tune hit No. 1 again when it was covered by Christina Aguilera, P!nk, Lil’ Kim, and Mya on the Moulin Rouge! soundtrack.
The quartet of powerhouse ladies took home a Grammy in 2002, but not until they’d given a killer performance on stage, featuring special guests Missy Elliott and Patti Labelle.
Also, please note the fact that Xtina can always belt out killer notes — even while undressing. Check out the video below for Throwback Thursday!
