In the words of Billboard Magazine, it’s time for the “Resurrection of Christina.” And in the publication’s new cover story, pop diva Christina Aguilera is clearly ready for her comeback.

After cancelling her 2010 Bionic tour due to poor sales and spending two years and three seasons on The Voice, the “Beautiful” singer is ready to fight for her music career.

She’s taking a leave of absence from the hit music reality show in order to promote her new album, Lotus.

"Mark [Burnett, NBC’s executive producer] made it very clear that these chairs are always our chairs," Xtina told the magazine. "He said, 'I understand the only reason the show's going to work is if it doesn't get stale.' And he totally understood that I needed something to fulfill my creative soul, and said, 'This chair will always be yours to come back to whenever you do what makes you the best.'"

Keeping that in mind, Christina seems fully in favor of taking at least one season off and lending her throne to Colombian singer Shakira.

“I’ll probably be back,” she said. “I just need to do my thing for a minute, then I can come back and be that much better of a coach. I just need a second to get back to me.”

That “probably” had better be a definitely, Xtina!

So what will the diva do in her “downtime”? Well, we know she won’t be watching competing reality show The X Factor, starring her former childhood frenemy, Britney Spears.

“I have no time to even watch my own show,” she admitted.
