At tonight’s 2012 American Music Awards, Christina Aguilera turned heads with her red carpet look. But even more surprising than her daring purple gown was Christina’s brand-new ‘do.

After keeping her hair long with a series of neon colors dyed at the tips for the past few months, Christina lopped off her multicolored locks and opted for a blond bombshell bob.

This style was reminiscent of Christina’s “Back to Basics” look from several years ago, and we were excited to see it make another appearance on the red carpet.
