Did Christina Aguilera Really Hire Her Boyfriend Matthew Rutler as a Songwriter?

It seems that Christina Aguilera and her main man Matthew Rutler have formed a new kind of partnership.

The couple of two years started dating in 2010 when they both were working on the film Burlesque. Matthew was a production assistant on the film, and Xtina, obviously, starred in it.

But now, the pop diva’s arm candy seems to have gotten an upgrade to the role of songwriter. According to Just Jared, Matthew is writing songs for Xtina’s new album.

“He’s now a songwriter, working on new tracks for her new album,” a source told Just Jared. “People will be surprised by the sound they’ve put together.”

And since Xtina’s new album is supposed to make you “$#*! yourself,” Matthew’s influence must be a good one.
