As we’ve watched the The Voice's Blind Auditions roll on and the teams get fuller and fuller, we have seen great contestants get rejected. But going into the blind auditions, do the contestants know how full the teams are?

The answer is no.

In a recent NBC conference call, Season 2 contestant and recent addition to Team Blake, Lex Land, was asked if she knew where she stood in the competition going into her audition.

“We were not aware of how the teams were filling up or when we would be auditioning,” she answered.

So, not only are the judges blind during these auditions, but the contestants are also blind to where they stand — which could potentially mean that contestants hitting the stage the night of the premiere have a leg up on the competition.
