It seems like just last week it was confirmed that The Voice will be broadcasting a second season in 2012 — oh, it was last week. Now we’ve learned producers will be holding auditions for the new season beginning March 3 in Chicago!

Unlike some fellow competitive talent shows, The Voice requires that contestants get through several rounds of auditions before being invited to perform for their panel of celebrity judges. Thus, these preliminary rounds are held in front of producers only — that means leave your “Team Adam” shirt at home.

Auditioners are also required to make an “Artist Account” before they are eligible for the show. For a full audition schedule, eligibility requirements, and info about the show, go to

Good luck to all you applicants and we look forward to seeing you (and judging you) come the fall season!
