Say what you will about Blake Shelton, but he takes care of his own (minus Adley Stump apparently).

Last night, we saw the emotional battle between country singer Gwen Sebastian and soul singer Erin Willett, who had just learned of her father’s passing. The duet was one of the night’s strongest performances and no one wanted to see either contestant go home.

Though Gwen was ultimately eliminated, it looks like she won’t be out of Blake Shelton’s life for long. She will be joining Blake’s sold-out “Well Lit & Amplified” tour. Gwen will also perform with Blake Shelton on the ACM Awards (Sunday, April 1, CBS, 8 p.m. EST).

Talk about letting her down easy, Blake!

“Never in a million years would I think that this journey would lead me to be on stage with Blake,” said Gwen on her website. “I am honored he asked me to become a part of his show and a member of his ‘road family.’ ”

Last season’s Dia Frampton also toured with Blake Shelton recently, but she was the season's runner-up.

So, how did someone who didn’t even make it to the live shows get a spot on Blake’s sold-out tour?

“The first time I ever heard Gwen’s voice I knew it was something special,” Blake said. “She has the rare ability to combine power with passion in her singing abilities. Although our journey together has ended on The Voice, it’s just beginning in real life.”
