With great relationships comes great baby speculation, and Blake Shelton and his wife, Miranda Lambert, are no strangers to pregnancy questions.
Both Blake and Miranda have been open about waiting for kids until their lives get a bit less hectic, but do those around them think they’re ready to be parents?
Wetpaint Entertainment caught up with The Voice’s Carson Daly and Cee Lo Green last night after the live results show and asked the gents about Blake being a dad.
“Man I should show you a picture,” Carson told us. “[Blake]’s got my daughter in his hands. Adam Levine held my daughter with a little onesie we had that said “Team Adam,” and I swear, Adam held her like a bomb in Hurt Locker, you know? He didn’t know what to do, but Blake held Etta like he’s been practicing. So I hope.”
Carson’s referring to the photo that surfaced last month of Adam holding baby Etta. Now we wish Carson had tweeted the photo of Blake! And the host claims Blake’s paternal instinct mostly comes out when the cameras aren’t running on the show.
“You see what he does, especially with his young female artists: He takes care of them on and off the air, which I think is the greatest thing that I can point to his character — or anybody’s character … it’s what they [don’t do] in the press,” Carson spilled. “The s— that they do that you don’t read about.”
“I mean God bless people that are donating to Sandy, but there are so many boldface names that are doing things that you don’t read about, and Blake’s that guy who is doing the stuff you don’t read about,” he continued.
Aww, Carson! That almost makes us forget about your harsh words about the coaches. Almost.
And Carson wasn’t the only one commenting on Blake’s future family. Fellow coach Cee Lo Green seemed excited by the idea when we talked with him.
“You know what, man, I would love to see a couple of little Blakes running around,” he admitted.
