Talented (and intense) rocker Juliet's performance inspired all the judges to turn around, but in the end, she chose Team Cee Lo.
While The Voice is all about finding the best solo star (or occasionally duo), this season’s contestant Juliet Simms is used to making it a team effort. About three years ago, Juliet started the band Automatic Loveletter.
The 25-year-old performer writes the band’s songs and performs lead vocals and guitar. Along with Juliet’s brother, Tommy Simms, on guitar, Automatic Loveletter features the talent of drummer Ryan Metcalf.
The band has shared a stage with Cute Is What We Aim For, Secondhand Serenade, and Say Anything, and even performed in the 2008 Vans Warped Tour.
Juliet has also collaborated with other bands and performed on Jimmy Kimmel Live! with Secondhand Serenade. After a failed partnership with Epic Records, Automatic Loveletter found a strong partner in RCA and released their first album, Truth or Dare, in 2010.
The band is currently supporting Juliet as she competes in this season of The Voice.
Follow the band’s Twitter, Facebook, Myspace, and look for updates on their official website.
What do you think of Automatic Loveletter? Is Juliet better off going solo?
