Though country couple Miranda Lambert and The Voice’s Blake Shelton won Female and Male Artist of the Year at the ACM Awards, only Miranda walked away with a trophy at this year's CMT Awards.

Miranda Lambert won Female Video of the Year for “Over You,” but Blake’s “God Gave Me You” lost out on Male Video of the Year award when Luke Bryan won for “I Don’t Want This Night to End.”

But Blake was still represented at the show. The couple co-wrote the moving ballad, “Over You,” about Blake’s brother Richie Shelton who passed away in 1990. Because of the painful nature of the song, Miranda recorded it solo, but was quick to thank Richie and Blake in her acceptance speech last night.

Blake appreciated the sentiment and even tweeted,

Both Miranda and Blake lost out to Carrie Underwood’s “Good Girl” for Video of the Year, but we still think they’re the best of the best in country music!
