P!nk Turned Down Judging Opportunities on The Voice, American Idol, and The X Factor: Would She Have Made a Good Judge?
With A-Listers filling up the judging pool on television’s top music reality competitions, we rarely hear about the celebs who’ve turned down judging opportunities.
But yesterday, hit singer P!nk told The Herald Sun that she’s been considered for American Idol, The X Factor, and The Voice Australia.
"I said no because you can't be honest,” P!nk said. “People will hate you if you're honest. Simon Cowell is the only person who gets away with it because he's got an accent. And he's a man.”
“People would just hate me more than they already do,” she continued. “I don't want to hurt anybody's feelings. Besides, you can sing karaoke anywhere..."
We beg to differ, P!nk.
Christina Aguilera has proven time and time again that she’s the most straightforward judge on The Voice. She loves to tell it like it is, and isn’t afraid to make the hard decisions — even if they aren’t the popular ones.
We’re also not huge fans of P!nk’s pity party. Once again, we have to cite Xtina’s carefree attitude toward the haters. No singer will make a fan out of everyone, so why let the fear of critics stop you?
Then again, someone who thinks these shows are just karaoke shouldn’t be judging them to begin with, so we’re happy she turned down the jobs.
