Country music’s Blake Shelton returns as a coach in the second season of The Voice.
Blake Shelton’s hand was hovering above his button for a few tense moments, but just as singer David Grace finished his last note of “Sweet Home Alabama” on the third round of Blind Auditions for The Voice, he snatched it away.
David, a 28-year-old Santa Fe native, must have been praying he’d hit that button, because none of the other judges looked even close.
Though Christina Auguilera said he has “a great voice,” and Adam Levine said his reason for not selecting him was “more of a stylistic thing,” Blake would have been the natural choice for the country-twanged singer. Unfortunately, Blake said the former footballer’s performance “hit him a bit odd.”
Do you agree? Should Blake, or one of the other blame-shifting judges have turned their chairs, or was David just not as good as the other competitors?
